Is life easy or hard? It is definitely not easy to live life but live life to the fullest, live it without regret, live it positively, live it for yourself, live it for Jesus, live it with love, live it wonderfully, live it with your loved ones, live it radically, live it without escape, live it with joy, live it..... just live.

Be Thankful
Thank you for all the blessings that you have given to me. Let me not take it for granted that it will always be there. Let me treasure all that is surrounding me and be grateful for the little things in my life. Yes, time and tide waits for no man, but memories will stay in your mind. Make full use of what has been given to you and never regret it. It is definitely not easy to step out of the box and be different but all it takes is juz one step and you will be out! Life is short just do it but make sure it is the right decision. Don't do it just because it is popular cos at the end of the day, no one bothers... Be thankful, be grateful, be appreciative. Thank you Jesus...

wake up your idea!!
Wake up your idea! Wat is the problem with the people of these generation??? Why are they so slack? Why are they so complacent? Why am i not hearing much from them? Why do they not bother about their children? Why are the address they give me wrong?? Why can't they update their paradox before they give to me? Why do they fizzle off so fast? Why do I give them so much opportunity? Why do I need to put myself through all these agony?? Why can't they have a stronger backbone? Why can't they rise up to the occassion? Why are they not concern about their children? Why are they tired so easily? Why can't they persist? Why can't they prioritize? What is their problem????? Do they want it or they don't want?
Just tell me lah!! I am a very straight forward person! If you want it, then go all the way for it! If you don't want because you have work, you need to study, you are tired, your parents don't allow, you come one week, MIA the other week... then tell me you don't want loh.... I really need people who love the children and are willing to go all out for them!! I cannot imagine one group changing leaders all the time... It really pain me to see the children having a leader who is just dong it for the sake of doing it.
I am giving you the opportunity because i believe you can do it and God will give you what you need when you seize the opportunity. It is never easy to walk this walk.... but I promise you, if you do your best, I am here to support you all the way.

Is my HEART ok???
Just had discipleship with some of the men n my zone!! Wooo! Sounds exciting?? Definitely!! Talked to them about the leader's heart. Not my heart lah but the heart of a leader. It is really important for us to check our heart regularly like a doctor cos you never know what is happening to you when things get busy and you get numb by what is happening.
So 4 hearts to have! 1. A passionate heart for God and of course Jesus! 2. A loving heart for the people around you. 3. A forgiving heart for those who has hurt you and 4. A heart for the lost esp. for the children.
Out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks!! So watch your heart, not your mouth. :)

Exciting Life
It is October... Hi and very soon.... November will come. Need to get things done and think and plan ahead. Musical, Christmas and 2010. Amazing how time flies. Life is just so exciting.... All the ups and downs, the high and low, the ebbs and rise.
Can my life not be exciting.... Can I be a normal human being? Can I just have a normal job? Can I? Can I.......
Well, I suppose I can't.... Others can, but I can't....Thank you God for an exciting life.

Know your Purpose
I have been in City Harvest for 14 years and in Children's Church for 12 years. What happened to me for 2 years?? Ha! I didn't BS lah, I went NS.. Had cell group yesterday and we were all talking about the years that we have been in City Harvest! 1st: Michael, 15years, 2nd: ME!! 14 years and 3rd: Lena and Esther, 12 years. Time really flies and you can never catch it back.
However, it is just amazing how we stayed on and grow together with City Harvest. People came and people left. It has been an amazing 14 years journey. So where do i go from now?? Last week and yesterday was like a reminder, a wake up call for me.
I need to go back to my first love, the reason why I am here and why I am doing what I am doing. Is it for me to gain fame and recognition?? Is it that I have earn big bucks from what I am doing?? Yes, I am quite famous in Children's Church among the children. Haha. I also don't deny the fact that I do earn from what I am doing..... but it is the purpose and the commitments and the passion that I need to remember and continue in this journey. My journey has not ended and I am still moving on. However, am i moving on a straight line or on a progressive slope?? I believe I got to constantly ask myself this.
Be dissatisfied with where you are now. Be in the thinking and asking. Be in the knowing. Be willing to sacrifice and go the extra mile. Inconvenience yourself for the sake of others. Be teachable, be humble. For UNITY sake, accept those who are different from you and love them!! Haha. These are just some of the things that we need to do so that we can see growth!! Amazing!! If I remember more, I will include them in. :)
God I want to know you more!

Against You?
I am not against anyone. I am not and I never will. I just want to clear any misunderstanding. I am just not happy with the way that you do things and if you step into my boundary and caused my comfort zone to be uncomfortable, of course, I will be frustrated and irritated and agitated and flare up!!
To the rest, I might be kind and friendly but don't even comment too much or nag your way through me cause I have my temper too! Hahahaha. Let your Yes be Yes and your No No...

Blackberry
I love Nokia cos it is human technology. Easy to use n understand.
I never wanted blackberry, well, maybe because black is a symbolism of mystery. So wat does mystery means? Well, it simply means hard to use lah...But slowly n surely, my surroundin friends began to use blackberry; Wendy, Pst, Glordia, Xinwei, Joanna! Argh! Unimaginable! Blackberry has invaded Children's Church! My heart began to itch, my mind began to contemplate, should I or should I not? Finally, in order to be in the sonship of Pst Eileen Toh Poh Chin, I decided! Yes! Blackberry here I come. It was faith at work. Never have I used a "chim" gadget before but I took the step of faith! Off goes my HTC Touch (become quite insensitive to touch). My wife bought me a Blackberry on my birthday.
So like any new owner, I mingle n tangle with the phone n instruction book, trying to comprehend the unfamiliar phone. Soon I gave up! Haha. I did something clever! "Hello? How you do this n that?" Asked my friends n soon I was an intermediate. Soon (again!) Adeline, Lynn n Connie joined the fun! Yeah! A whole new life opened up. I was able to go into internet, play games, twitter, facebook, blackberry, upload photos, task, calendar, word mole not to mention call, sms, email n mms! All in a gadget! Exciting! Yap! I mean it cos I won't be bored during bus or mrt rides! I can do a lot of things in a hand's time!
So if you are pondering what phone to get, Blackberry! Make your and my life easy! Hint: Paul, wat are you waiting for?
Btw, did I mention that I wrote this blog thru my Blackberry. :)

Common Sense for 2009
The Bible says in Prov. 4:7, that “in all our getting, get understanding,” which is really nothing more than “anointed common sense.” I came across a piece of advice Warren Buffet gave to his shareholders for 2009. I was amazed by the simplicity and common sense found in his approach toward basic management of money. This is what Buffet said:
“We begin this New Year with dampened enthusiasm and dented optimism. Our happiness is diluted and our peace is threatened by the financial illness that has infected our families, organizations and nations.
Everyone is desperate to find a remedy that will cure their financial illness and help them recover their financial health. They expect the financial experts to provide them with remedies, forgetting the fact that it is these experts who created this financial mess.
Every new year, I adopt a couple of old maxims as my beacons to guide my future. This self-prescribed therapy has ensured that with each passing year, I grow wiser and not older. This year, I invite you to tap into the financial wisdom of our elders along with me, and become financially wiser.
* Hard work: All hard work bring a profit, but mere talk leads only to poverty.
* Laziness: A sleeping lobster is carried away by the water current.
* Earnings: Never depend on a single source of income. [At least make your investments get you second earning.]
* Spending: If you buy things you don’t need, you’ll soon sell things you need.
* Savings: Don’t save what is left after spending; spend what is left after saving.
* Borrowings: The borrower becomes the lender’s slave.
* Accounting: It’s no use carrying an umbrella, if your shoes are leaking.
* Auditing: Beware of little expenses; a small leak can sink a large ship.
* Risk-taking: Never test the depth of the river with both feet. [Have an alternate plan ready.]
* Investment: Don’t put all your eggs in one basket.
I’m certain that those who have already been practicing these principles remain financially healthy. I’m equally confident that those who resolve to start practicing these principles will quickly regain their financial health.”
There is truly no short-cut to success. We all need to remind ourselves of these back-to-basic principles of life, wisdom and common sense.

Korea
After my Hong Kong trip, I went Korea!! Took some photos too but it was a testing trip! HaHa. What do I mean? Cos I have to wake up at 330am SIngapore time to attend prayer meeting at Yoido Full Gospel Church! It is the largest church in the world and it is still growing. The amazing thing is how the people can wake up so early to pray and the whole auditorium is full!!
It was recharging to see all this and it really make me want more of God in my life. 2008 didn't really end well but God rewarded me with this trip to strengthen and enforce the call in my life! I was called to be a minister to the children and I will always be even when I am old...but i will still look young! Amen!!

HongKong
I went to Hong Kong in December and it was really a phototaking trip!! HAHA. What do I mean?? Well.... I took photo at literally every single location like the MTR, Ocean Park, Peak, Disneyland and even my hotel!! It was really enjoyable and the weather was cooling too. Not really a shopping trip for me though..
Chinese New Year
Chinese New Year has never been so boring in my entire life. It came so fast and it ended too fast. I also didn't do much during Chinese New Year... Boring....

Right Heart Attitude
"You ask and do not receive, because you ask amiss, that you may spend it on your pleasures." James 4:3. It is really great and wonderful to be coming before God to pray but when we come before Him, are we doing it because of the relationship that we have with Him or is it a religious duty to fulfil?? Perhaps this is the reason why many prayer request has not been answered and you wonder why is it like that. Are you praying because your leaders are asking you to? Are your praying because you juz want from you? Are you praying so that you can gain?
How true it is that at times, I would just come with a "wanting list" for God and pray through it as if God is a supermarket and He would juz produce what i want. Of course, many of my wants didn't materialized. Ha. I realized that when we come before God, we need to have a right heart attitude and you will realized that other things will be settled so easily. Seek God first and all things will be added to you.

Life is short!
Life is short. Don't waste it. Think of all that you can do and do your best. It doesn't matter if you fail. Try again. Try it a second time. Try until it happens. Don't let anything stop you. Fill yourself with zeal and passion. Don't sink into complacency. Let your life be full of colours.

Take Responsibility
if you are in the wrong, take responsibility and stop justifying yourself.... Just say you are sorry and move on with life.

Be Serious!!
Was doing visitation when I received an sms from my leader that one of his kids has passed away, I was really shocked. It happened so suddenly. I was really sad and disheartened over the whole situation. It was like a wake up call for me. I really need to meet with all my leaders. Visitation is not a routine or a duty. It is a time for us to touch and transform lives, a time to build relationship with your children and their families. Don't take it lightly.
I remembered many years back that one of my kids passed away and the parents called me personally to inform me about it. You wouldn't know what happen tomorrow. Visit all of them as many as you can,,,, Don't think there are still time. There is no time.... It really coincide with my last entry that whatever you do, do it with all your might cos you can't do it when you died or even when others died.....

Great Verse!!
'Whatever your hands finds to do, do it with all your might; for there is no work or device or knowledge or wisdom in the grave where you are going." Hmmmm.... what more can I say? Don't wait till you died then you want to put in effort, cos it is now or never!
